This new BBC Two series sees ten passionate home bakers take part in a bake-off to test every aspect of their baking skills as they battle to be crowned the Great British Bake Off's best amateur baker. Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins present the programme, and the judges are renowned baking writer Mary Berry and professional baker Paul Hollywood. Isn’t it great that cake making is getting some prime-time exposure on the telly!

Apprenticeship opportunities available now! Are you 16-18 and looking for a new opportunity? This is an Earn as You Learn opportunity.
Need a Cake is looking for a junior apprentice who will be required to have a keen interest in sugarcraft and able to work independently on tasks they have been taught.
They will gain certificated qualifications in all aspects of sugarcraft including PME Module 1, 2, 3 and Wilton 1, 2, 3 as well as their hygiene certificate.
