The Sugarcraft and Cake Decoration Show
Visit Cake 2004 this autumn and join thousands of enthusiastic like-minded individuals all out to see the latest range of cake decorating products and accessories. Seek inspiration from an array of college displays, hands-on workshops, practical demonstrations and competition pieces, plus a working chocolate fountain with its intense aroma at the show, which takes place at The NEC on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 November.
At the show you will find a fascinating choice of cake decorating suppliers selling a wonderful variety of cutters, moulds, boards, books, stencils, beads, ribbons and more. There’s everything for the expert sugarcraft artist and beginners alike with more than 70 exhibitors with thousands of products on show!
The show’s bakery feature will perfume the air with tantalising aromas throughout the day. Valerie Hedgethorne, Cake Craft & Decoration’s home economist, will demonstrate some recipes from her regular baking projects. Bob Young will take you through the finer points of chocolate work and International cake designer Sandy Hargrave will be over from the States demonstrating ‘White Chocolate Draping’ and signing her new book.
If you enter competitions, tutor people who are entering competitions or are interested in judging competitions, join Brian Taylor the Chairman of Judges. Discover what happens when judging commences, how the judges work and why decisions are reached on the road to medal winning entries!
You will also find demonstrations in abundance on exhibitors’ stands where you will have the chance to meet and talk to the professionals, ask advice, solve problems and receive tips of the trade on every aspect of cake decorating, sugarcraft and baking. So if you want to meet like-minded people share ideas, learn new techniques or develop an existing one, a visit is essential.
